Woost was created from the master theses of the founders who developed a prototype for graph-based argument mapping at the Human-Computer Interaction Center (HCIC) of RWTH Aachen University.
On the basis of the research during the masters theses, the collaboration and communication software Woost was developed. Throughout the year, several iterations and changes were implemented, new features added and with the constant feedback of test clients the software improved.
At the end of 2017, the active acquisition of start-up capital or subsidies was started, and in June 2018 a grant through the EXIST start-up fund was achieved. At this point, Julius, the third founder, completed his studies and was thus able to devote himself full-time to the newly founded company. The scholarship period was used intensively to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and launch Woost as a beta version.
Woost has been available as a beta version since the end of 2018; the first pilot customers have already been convinced. At the beginning of 2019 Michelle Hamacher and Christian Paffhausen joined Woost, who enrich the team with their marketing and business development expertise. The team is currently working intensively on market entry and is continuously implementing new features, taking into account intensive customer feedback.
